For the current listing cycles, the State Water Board has combined its 303(d) List and the 305(b) Report into the 2014 and 2016 California Integrated Report. Only the 303(d) List portion of the 2014 and 2016 California Integrated Report requires approval by the State Water Board and U.S. EPA.
The 303(d) List is a compilation of the 303(d) lists approved by the Regional Water Quality Control Boards (Regional Water Boards) for the San Francisco (Region 2), Central Coast (Region 3), Central Valley (Region 5), Santa Ana (Region 8), and San Diego (Region 9) regions. The 303(d) List also includes State Water Board additions, deletions, and changes to the 303(d) lists approved by those regions. The State Water Board approved the 303(d) list for the Los Angeles region (Region 4) and incorporated it into the California 303(d) List consistent with Section 6.2 of the Water Quality Control Policy for Developing California’s Clean Water Act Section 303(d) List (Listing Policy).
After approval of the 303(d) List portion of the California Integrated Report by the State Water Board, the complete 2014 and 2016 California Integrated Report was submitted to U.S. EPA for final approval of the California 303(d) List. The California 303(d) List was approved by USEPA on April 6th, 2018.
