Description: <div>This polygon layer shows county boundaries clipped to the jurisdiction of the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB8, Region 8). It represents the portions of San Bernardino, Orange, and Riverside counties — and a small part of Los Angeles County — that fall within the region. The layer was created by clipping the CAL FIRE Fire and Resource Assessment Program (FRAP) Counties feature service to the Region 8 boundary, derived from the Regional Board Boundaries layer filtered to Region 8. The layer is referenced to WGS 1984 Web Mercator (Auxiliary Sphere) (WKID 3857/102100).</div><div><br /></div><div>Purpose: Provides county context for the Santa Ana Region on public-facing maps and supports outreach and regulatory awareness.</div><div><br /></div><div>Who benefits: Water Board staff, partner and local agencies, and members of the public who need to see which counties — and which portions of them — fall within Region 8.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>Limitations: County boundaries are clipped to the Region 8 jurisdiction and do not represent full county extents.
