Description: This layer depicts the main stem of the Russian River. The main stem also includes the East Fork of the Russian River but it excludes tributaries. The main stem of the Russian River originates north of Ukiah, flows south through Mendocino and Sonoma counties, turns west at Forestville and discharges into the Pacific Ocean at Jenner, California. This layer was constructed by filtering USGS's NHD flowlines layer to include only the GNIS Labels that contained the string "Russian River."
