Layers: Description: Interactive map resource with curated data for Tribal interest. The purpose of this project is to increase awareness of access to the Water Board's water data initiatives which intersect with Tribal matters and needs. The Water Boards' Office of Information Management and Analysis (OIMA) launched the Water Boards' Tribal Water Data Initiatives webpage in 2020 to begin this work. OIMA is an advocate for data management, transparency, and openness of the Water Board’s data and information (see the Water Board’s Open Data Resolution and Strategic Data Management Action Plan for more information). To bridge gaps between dataa generation, resulting information and effective communication, resources must be made easily available, understandable, and accessible to all. Tribal water data and associated initiatives at the Water Board are an integral part of this work. Moreover, it is imperative that the resource is developed in coordination and partnership with the Water Boards Tribal Affairs Team and our Tribal partners to ensure the resource is effective and relevant for users interested in Tribal water data topics.
